Subject: Requiring the Department of Human Services to Check Wage Records Against Medical Assistance and SNAP Recipients
 
In the near future, we will introduce legislation requiring the Department of Human Services to check wage records by employers and the Department of Revenue against recipients of Medical Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

The Department will be required to check these records on a quarterly basis and their findings must be shared with the Majority and Minority Chairs of the House Human Services Committee and the Majority and Minority Chairs of the Senate Health & Human Services Committee.
