Subject: Choke Point in New School Construction and Renovations
 
I plan to reintroduce legislation (HB2292 of 2017-18) requiring a choke point in new school construction and renovations.

Specifically, my bill will require all new, approved school buildings and approved building renovations that receive reimbursement through PlanCon to be built with a “choke point.” A choke point is a single, secure point of entry through which all people must enter the school building during school hours.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation to make our school buildings safer and protect our students.
