COX, James A., Jr., a Representative from Berks and Lancaster Counties; born, October 5, 1969 in Chicago, Cook County, Il.; graduated, Marquette Manor Baptist Academy, 1987; B.A., pre-law, Pensacola Christian College, 1992; J.D., Regent University School of Law, 1996; attorney; government affairs coordinator, Rutherford Institute (1996-1998); chief of staff, Pennsylvania State Representative Samuel Rohrer (1998-2006); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2006; reelected to the House for 7 more consecutive terms; appointed, Speaker's Commission on Legislative Reform (2007); appointed, Capitol Preservation Committee (2015-2022); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2022).
