Subject: Providing Guidelines and Procedures for the Investigation of Correctional Officers and Forensic Employees
 
In the near future, I will re-introduce legislation to provide guidelines and procedures regarding the investigation of correctional officers and forensic employees.
 
This legislation will ensure that Pennsylvania’s correctional officers and forensic employees maintain certain rights and will provide them with the ability to appeal during disciplinary proceedings.

I strongly believe that any correctional officer or forensic employee found guilty of a crime should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law; however, this legislation will guarantee preservation of their constitutional rights.
