Subject: Reforming the Wine Marketing and Research Board
 
The Pennsylvania Wine Marketing and Research Board is responsible for increasing the quality, profitability, and consumer awareness of Pennsylvania wines. Funding is allocated annually to this board in order to advance promotion, marketing, and research-based programs and projects.
 
Under my legislation, members of the board will consist of the Secretary of Agriculture, one individual appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, one individual appointed by the Senate Minority Leader, one individual appointed by the Speaker of the House, one member appointed by the House Minority Leader, and four individuals appointed by the Chair of the Liquor Control Board.
