| In the near future, I am planning to introduce a resolution that will recognize April 8, 2014, as “National Healthy Schools Day” in Pennsylvania. National Healthy Schools Day is an important day to promote and celebrate healthy school environments that are conducive to learning and to protecting occupant health. Indeed, these observances in communities nationwide serve to highlight the impact of school facilities and the school environment on child health, development and academic achievement. On this day, schools, parents, personnel, advocates, and agencies unite nationwide to promote healthy and green school environments for all children. |
