MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 17, 2012 02:34 PM
From: Representative Chris Ross
To: All House members
Subject: Nonprofit Corporations - Notice via E-mail

Current Commonwealth law allows business corporations to send written notices to officers, directors and shareholders via electronic mail.

In the near future, I plan to reintroduce HB 683 from last session to allow nonprofit corporations to utilize the same procedure. The nonprofit will be permitted to send written notice by electronic mail to an address provided by the intended recipient for that purpose, and only if the recipient has given authorization.

Please join me in sponsoring this legislation. Thank you.
