HICKERNELL, David S., a Representative from Dauphin and Lancaster Counties; born in the city of  Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pa., January 2, 1959; graduated, Donegal High School, 1977; B.S., psychology, Elizabethtown College, 1983; legislative assistant, Republican Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives; director, policy committee, Republican Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives; executive director, Office of the Whip, Republican Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives; executive assistant, Majority Appropriations Committee, Republican Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives; chair, Elizabethtown Area Republican Committee, (1992-1994, 1998-2000); elected, clerk of courts, Lancaster County, (2000-2002); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2003 term; reelected to serve 9 more consecutive terms; appointed, Deputy Whip (2003-2006); appointed, Public School Building Construction and Reconstruction (PlanCon) Advisory Committee (2017-2018); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 2023 term.
