Subject: Choke Point in New School Construction and Renovations
 
With the recent tragedy in Parkland, Florida, it is vital that we take more security measures in our schools; therefore, in the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that requires all new, approved school buildings and approved building renovations that receive reimbursement through PlanCon to be built with a “choke point.” A choke point is a single, secure point of entry through which all people must enter into the school building during school hours.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation to make our school buildings safer and protect our students.
