Subject: Designating November 14-20 “National Apprenticeship Week” in Pennsylvania
 
In the near future, I will introduce a resolution designating the week of November 14 through November 20, 2022 as “National Apprenticeship Week” in Pennsylvania.

Apprenticeships provide the opportunity for individuals to learn on-the-job, acquire portable credentials and get paid while they learn. According to the PA CareerLink website, there are currently 16,576 active apprentices in 1,596 registered apprenticeship programs run by 883 program sponsors.

Whether it is a young adult exiting high school or a seasoned employee looking to up-skill or change careers, apprenticeships are a solution to workforce development and personal development needs.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution recognizing “National Apprenticeship Week” in Pennsylvania.
