Subject: Co-Sponsorship: Urging Pennsylvania professional sports teams to adopt a zero-tolerance domestic violence policy
 
I will be introducing a resolution urging Pennsylvania professional sports teams to adopt a zero-tolerance domestic violence policy.

As we all know, acts of domestic violence occur at alarming levels. This matter is of great concern in recent weeks with many teams in the world of sports. It is crucial that a zero tolerance policy for domestic violence be adopted by our professional sports owners. This would send a strong message to our athletes that there is a standard of conduct that extends beyond the playing field. These athletes need to be reminded that they serve as role models to our children. They need to be made aware of the consequences of their actions.
