Subject: Resolution to designate October 20-26, 2013 as “Rabbit Breeders Week”
 
In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution to designate the week of October 20, 2013 through October 26, 2013 as “Rabbit Breeders Week” in Pennsylvania in celebration of the 90th Annual American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) Convention and Show being held in Harrisburg during the aforementioned week.

The American Rabbit Breeders Association Inc. (ARBA) was founded in 1910. In the 103 years since its inception, the organization has grown to 23,000 members worldwide. The organization supports 47 different rabbit breeds and 13 cavy (guinea pig) breeds, providing assistance to breeders and rabbit enthusiasts alike.

The five day show is expected to attract 7,500 attendees and produce $22.5 million in economic impact in the Hershey Harrisburg Region.
