Subject: COPD Awareness Month
 
Upon return to session I will be introducing a resolution designating the month of November 2013 as “COPD Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) affects over 24 million individuals in the United States, killing more than 124,000 Americans every year. It affects an estimated 655,000 citizens of Pennsylvania and is the 4th leading cause of death in the Commonwealth.

Please join me in co-sponsorship of this resolution. I would like to introduce it the first week of session.
