Committee PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE Date June 7, 2023
Bill/Resolution HB1295 PN1413 A00839 Type of Motion Adopt Amendment
Maker of Motion Rep. Merski Seconded by Rep. Williams
Brief Description
This amendment changes “shall” participate to “may” participate and clarifies that a disciplinary process can move forward if certain due process considerations are met. It specifies that a person who has suffered an adverse effect from the conduct alleged in the Order to Show Cause may submit a written impact statement that may be considered only in determining a sanction imposed on the respondent. Lastly, it allows remote participation by voice (without video) only if the parties agree and good cause is shown.
