Subject: Recognizing February 27 through March 5, 2023 as “Eating Disorders Awareness Week” in Pennsylvania
 
Eating disorders are serious conditions that are potentially life-threatening and have a great impact on a person’s physical and emotional health.
 
The goal of the 2023 “Eating Disorders Awareness Week” campaign is to focus on the message that now is the time for more: more equity, inclusion, access, outreach, early-intervention, education, representation, advocacy, and awareness.
 
“Eating Disorders Awareness Week” will encourage people to share their stories and experiences with disordered eating and body image struggles and highlight the importance of screenings for early detection and interventions.  
 
We hope that you will join us in co-sponsoring this resolution to raise awareness and support those affected by eating disorders.
