Subject: Hemp seed as animal feed
 
Soon, I will be introducing legislation that will allow the use of hemp seed and its by-products like hemp seed cake in commercial animal feed for pets, specialty pets, horses, and other non-production animals. Hemp seed has been regarded as safe for human consumption by the USDA but is still considered illegal as animal feed. 

Please join me in providing a new market for Pennsylvania’s hemp producers by co-sponsoring this legislation.
