Subject: | Joint State Government Commission Task Force on Decedents’ Estates Laws Recommendations |
As a member of the Joint State Government Commission’s Task Force on Decedents’ Estates Laws, I introduced Senate Bill 1115 in 2018 to encompass legislation recommended by the Commission’s February 2018 Report of the Committee. Senate Bill 2018 was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee and did not come before the full Senate for consideration. In June 2021, the Advisory Committee released A Proposed Directed Trust Act with other Amendments for Estates and Trusts, which can be found at the following link: http://jsg.legis.state.pa.us/resources/documents/ftp/publications/2021-06-07%20DEL%20DTA%20Web%206.7.21.pdf I now intend to introduce two pieces of legislation to reflect the June 2021 recommendations of the Advisory Committee, which contains proposed statutory amendments covering aspects of probate, estates and fiduciaries:
|
Introduced as SB1034
Description: | This memo relates to the first proposal, which encompasses legislation recommended by the advisory committee of the Joint State Government Commission’s Task Force on Decedents’ Estates Laws to add and harmonize provisions dealing with estates and trusts. | |
