| Subject: | Designating June 10, 2021 as “Delco Day” in Pennsylvania |
| I was raised in Delaware County. I met my wife there, got married and raised my family in Ridley. Delaware County will always be my home, and like so many Delco residents, Delaware County will always have a piece of my heart. Delco is home to many restaurants, businesses, non-profits, and schools that fill each and every resident of Delaware County with passion and pride. Each year in June, the residents of Delaware County come together to raise money for a local community charity by celebrating “Delco Day”. Delco Day is recognized on June 10, representing the Delaware County area code of 610. This year, once again, Delco Day is raising money to support the HEADStrong Foundation, an organization which works to provide housing for cancer patients and their families and caregivers. I plan to introduce a companion resolution with State Rep. Jennifer O’Mara recognizing June 10, 2021, as “Delco Day” in Pennsylvania. It is my hope that you will join me in this effort to honor and celebrate Delco Day in Pennsylvania. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. |
