Subject: Fire and Emergency Medical Services Loan Program
 
On May 18th, Pennsylvania voters overwhelmingly approved a ballot question permitting municipal fire departments or companies that provide services through paid personnel and emergency medical services companies to participate in the Emergency Services Loan Assistance Program, which has been historically limited to volunteer fire companies. 
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation implementing the ballot question as well as ensuring representation on the Loan Program's Application Review Committee to the PA Professional Firefighters Association, the PA Career Chiefs Association, as well as the Department of Community and Economic Development and the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
