Subject: John DeFazio Condolence Resolution
 
Please join me in honoring the life and achievements of John DeFazio. The Pittsburgh-born larger-than-life professional wrestler, known as “Jumpin’ Johnny.”

Mr. DeFazio was elected president of his local union at the age of 29, and would eventually become the International Staff Representative for the United Steelworkers as well as district director of USW which covers all of Pennsylvania. In 1999, John DeFazio was elected to the Allegheny County Council At-large seat in which he served until 2019 fighting to bring progressive changes to the region.
