|Subject:||Increasing the Limits on Voluntary Donations to the Veterans' Trust Fund|
|In the near future I plan to introduce legislation that would increase voluntary donation amounts to the Veterans’ Trust Fund when applying for or renewing a driver’s license, ID card or vehicle registration.
This legislation increases voluntary donation amounts from $3 to $5 when applying for or renewing a driver’s license, ID card or vehicle registration. When applying for a two-year vehicle registration, the donation amount will be increased from $6 to $10.
The Veterans’ Trust Fund is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and provides grants to charitable organizations devoted to providing assistance, shelter and living necessities to veterans and their families.
Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation. If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Weitzel in my office at 717-787-5839.
