Subject: Outdoor Recreational Activities
 
I am planning to introduce legislation that would allow Pennsylvanians to engage in outdoor recreational activities as long as they adhere to the CDC’s established health and social distancing protocols.
 
Now that the governor has allowed outdoor activities such as golf and camping to be open for business, I think it is only appropriate to extend that to other outdoor sports and activities that people enjoy and that can be viewed or engaged in while observing the appropriate and safety procedures.
 
Not everybody golfs or camps—some enjoy other outdoor activities such as shooting sports, motorsports and ball games.  I believe that we can reopen these and other wholesome outdoor activities in a safe manner.
