Subject: Recognizing February 3-7, 2020 as “National School Counseling Week”
 
In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution which will designate February 3-7, 2020 as National School Counseling Week in the Commonwealth.

School counselors all over the Commonwealth play a vital role in the overall success of our schools creating well-rounded students. The goal of this week is to focus public attention on the important role school counselors play within school systems. All over the country, and in Pennsylvania, school counselors will be shining a light on the programs that help students achieve academic success and prepare for future careers.

Thank you for your consideration, and I ask that you please join me in co-sponsoring this important resolution and designating the week of February 3-7, 2020 as National School Counseling Week in Pennsylvania.
