Subject: | Designating May 25 as Missing Adult Persons Remembrance Day in Pennsylvania |
Missing persons reports are a far too common occurrence, both in the Commonwealth and nationwide. Reasons include human trafficking, kidnapping, behavioral health, addiction, and much more. Despite increased attention and effort by law enforcement and various government agencies, the fact remains that more than 300 adults are among the missing in our state. While May 25th is officially “National Missing Children’s Day”, it’s also appropriate to remember and call attention to those missing adults in Pennsylvania. The resolution highlights these facts and praises the efforts of those committed to finding the adults listed as missing. Please join me in this campaign of education, recognition, and awareness. |
