Subject: Dangerous Weapon in a Court Facility Definition
 
I plan to re-introduce Senate Bill 272 from last session which amends the definition of a dangerous weapon in a court facility under Title 18.

This change would add any knife, cutting instrument, cutting tool, nunchaku and any other tool, instrument or implement capable of causing serious bodily injury to the definition of dangerous weapon. The bill is in response to incidents which have occurred at the Pike County courthouse but assuredly examples can be found all across the state.

Co-sponsors of Senate Bill 272 were Senators Brewster, Browne, Hughes and Yudichak.
