Subject: Veterans Turnpike Discount
 
Please join me in cosponsoring legislation to grant disabled veterans a 50% discount in toll rates for use of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

In order to qualify, disabled veterans must be a resident of the Commonwealth, have a valid EZ Pass, complete an application and submit their United States Department of Veterans Affairs disability certification to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

Several states already provide this benefit to disabled veterans. Please join me in adding Pennsylvania to this list as we seek to further honor our veterans for their service to our country.

This legislation was cosponsored last session by Senators Scarnati, Rafferty, Costa, Greenleaf, Sabatina, Fontana, Hutchinson, Reschenthaler, Brewster and Ward as Senate Bill 966.
