Subject:	Waiver of Criminal History Fee

I plan to reintroduce Senate Bill 520 of 2015, legislation to waive the fee for criminal history record information for individuals who volunteer their time with Little Leagues. Little League Baseball, Inc. of Williamsport, PA has requested that background checks be provided for all volunteers. Since these individuals do not receive compensation for their time, the fee could be a deterrent to their participation. Additionally, many of the volunteers are parents coaching their own children.
