Subject: Surviving Spouse of a Veteran Tax Exemption
 
In the near future, I intend to reintroduce my legislation exempting the surviving spouse of a veteran who was killed or declared missing in action from paying local school property taxes. I invite you to join me as a co-sponsor.

The State Veteran’s Commission would be the entity to determine that the veteran’s surviving spouse is in need of the exemption.

This is a reintroduction of SB 125 from the previous legislative session. Co-sponsors included: Baker, Costa, Fontana, Blake, Browne, Alloway, Brewster, Tartaglione, Teplitz, Rafferty, Vulakovich and Leach.
