Subject: Ban on Bonuses
 
Again this session, I will be introducing legislation that will ban bonuses given to staff, that are outside of an established public payroll system. This bill would apply to all branches of state government. In the past, actions such as the giving of excessive bonuses have eroded the public’s trust in our state government. The Republican Caucus in the State Senate has led the charge by banning such bonuses. This legislation would ensure a permanent end to the practice.

Co-sponsors of the legislation last session were: GREENLEAF, TEPLITZ, SCARNATI, VOGEL, BREWSTER, COSTA, WARD, WHITE, AUMENT, HUTCHINSON, STEFANO, FOLMER, BROOKS AND RAFFERTY.
