Subject: Resolution - Sept. as Vertebral Subluxation Awareness Month
In the near future, I intend to reintroduce a resolution designating September as “Vertebral Subluxation Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.

Chiropractic doctors are the trained and licensed professionals that locate, analyze and correct a vertebral subluxation, which occurs when a vertebra misaligns. It occludes an opening, impinges on a nerve or otherwise interferes with neurotransmission.

Optimum performance and health of the human body depends on the unfettered, free transmission of impulses between the brain and all cells, tissues and organs. This resolution commends the Chiropractic Fellowship of Pennsylvania for its educational health efforts, and recognizes September 2015 as “Vertebral Subluxation Awareness Month.” September’s designation is significant because it commemorates the first chiropractic adjustment given to specifically correct a subluxation on September 18, 1895 in Davenport, Iowa by D.D. Palmer.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution.
