Subject:	Co-sponsor memo #1 – Medicaid Expansion

In the near future I will be reintroducing SB 12 of the 2013-14 session, which would expand Commonwealth’s Medicaid program pursuant to the provisions of the Affordable Care Act. Governor-elect Wolf has stated that he intends to expand Medicaid upon being sworn into office in January, 2015. My legislation would buttress the Governor-elect’s stated intention by statutorily recognizing that expanding Medicaid is the established public policy of this Commonwealth. I ask you to join me in cosponsoring this legislation
