Subject:	Senior Citizen's Property Tax Freeze

In the near future, I intend to reintroduce the following legislation, and I invite you to join me as a co-sponsor: Senior Citizen’s Property Tax Freeze This legislation would prohibit any political subdivision from imposing any increase in property taxes on residents that: are age 65 or older, have lived in their homes for at least five years, and make less than $65,000 annually. Until local school districts can limit increases to residents’ local property tax bills, my legislation will aim to provide real tax relief to the older Pennsylvanians who are hardest hit by rising property taxes. This is a reintroduction of SB 484 from the previous legislative session. Co-sponsors included: TARTAGLIONE, FONTANA, BROWNE, YUDICHAK, BREWSTER, STACK, WOZNIAK, ARGALL, VOGEL, RAFFERTY, ALLOWAY and BAKER.
