Subject: asbestos liability
 

Please join me in co-sponsoring legislation, that would amend Title 42 to create the Successor Business Entity Liability Act.

The intent of the legislation is to clarify the liability status of companies who obtained a business and faced asbestos-related claims from actions of the previous owner. The Act will establish a fair limitation of liability for any eligible innocent merger successor company.

The prior session’s bill number and co-sponsor are:
S.B. 1399 by Tomlinson, Folmer, Pippy, Rafferty and Eichelber
