Subject: | Interchange designation |
In the coming weeks I plan to introduce legislation that will name the interchange PA Route 33 and SR 1022 (Main Street) in Palmer Township, Northampton County as the Charles Chrin Interchange. Mr. Chrin has been a staple in the Lehigh Valley business community for nearly 60 years. He was instrumental in the development of a public-private partnership that resulted in the planning and construction of this interchange. This partnership includes a tax increment financing program (TIF) backed by Mr. Chrin’s company, a substantial private contribution by Mr. Chrin and state funding. The interchange is expected to open in 2014. |
Introduced as SB1229
