|Subject:||Elimination of Senator's Signatures on Notary Applications|
|Shortly, I plan to introduce legislation to eliminate the requirement Notary Public applications be endorsed by the Senator of the district in which they reside (or work).
My legislation will help to promote government efficiency as no value-added benefit has been identified by having State Senators sign notary applications. Only three other states require a state legislator’s signature in order to become a Notary Public.
