Subject:	Higher Education Project Contracts

In the near future, I plan on re-introducing legislation that would provide Universities greater flexibility by eliminating one of the four current levels of required legal approval for project contracts and procurement. This will help streamline the current duplicative levels of required approval under the Commonwealth Attorney's Act. All contracts are to be made available to the public by listing them with the State Treasury Department in accordance with the Right to Know Law. This is a reintroduction of SB 1239 from the previous legislative session. Co-Sponsors included: DINNIMAN, ALLOWAY, GREENLEAF, EARLL AND MENSCH
