Subject: Mobile Homes/ Trailers - Exemption From Property Tax
 
In the very near future, I plan to re-introduce legislation (SB 809) which will exempt owners of house trailers and mobile homes from paying real estate tax.

Currently in Pennsylvania, owners of house trailers and mobile homes pay real estate taxes on the assessed value of their homes. My legislation would exclude these structures from this tax, alleviating the financial burden placed on many individuals who have already paid a sales tax on these homes. This legislation would not exempt the owner of the property where the mobile home is located from paying real estate tax on the land itself.
