Subject: | Legislation to Consolidate Job Training Programs |
As part of the PA Works package, I am reintroducing legislation which would make improved changes to existing workforce investment and education services by consolidating job training programs in Pennsylvania. The bill would give the Department of Labor and Industry, in consultation with other state agencies, the power to administer several job training programs currently available in the state. The legislation will create an improved one-stop shop system by combining all job training programs under the jurisdiction of the Department of Labor and Industry. Last session this was SB 691 and the following Senators were cosponsors: COSTA, FARNESE, TARTAGLIONE, SOLOBAY, FONTANA, HUGHES, WAUGH, LEACH, BREWSTER, WOZNIAK, FERLO, BLAKE, BOSCOLA, KASUNIC, WASHINGTON, STACK, and SCHWANK |
Introduced as SB235
