Subject: 75th Anniversary of Cable Television in PA
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution to honor and commemorate the 75th anniversary of the cable television industry in Pennsylvania.

Cable television has a rich history of development and advancement of technology throughout its 75-year existence in PA. Its presence in the Commonwealth has driven economic opportunities and created thousands of jobs for Pennsylvanians. Cable television innovations have enabled residents to stay informed and be more involved across all arenas in PA.

Today, broadband cable companies continue to connect residents of our state and play a major role in Pennsylvania’s growth. Five of the nation’s top 20 cable companies are headquartered and operate in our state, thanks to the work done over the last 75 years developing a lasting presence in PA.

I hope you will join me in co-sponsoring this resolution to bring more awareness to our vital cable television industry.
