Subject: Final Disposition of Fetal Remains Act (Prior HB 118)
 
In the near future, I plan to reintroduce the Final Disposition of Fetal Remains Act.  This legislation establishes requirements for the final disposition of remains upon a fetal death.  It would allow family members to receive the remains of their unborn child from a health care facility if they chose to exercise the option.  This does not mandate the family pay for burial or cremation services but allows them the option to do so if they feel this would assist them in their grief process. 
 
Please join me in cosponsoring this important piece of legislation which will provide for a respectful and dignified interment of these innocent lives which have been lost.
