Subject: | Non-public School Exemption (Prior HB 1142, 2021-2022) |
In the near future, I plan to re-introduce legislation (prior HB 1142) that would exempt private schools and home schools, home school groups, one room schools, church schools (who are not taking direct tax payer dollars to operate their schools) from the requirements, guidelines, mandates or orders of any declaration of disaster emergency made by the Governor or any state agency or entity. Our non-public schools, children, parents, and teachers have been adversely affected by the past Governor’s overbearing “one size fits all” mandates. This legislation will put regulations & decisions during an emergency disaster declaration back into the hands of non-public schools, who know what is best for their students. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. Previous cosponsors of HB 1142, 2021-2022: Greiner, Rowe, James, Kauffman, Millard, Moul, Ryan, Cox, Maloney, Keefer, Gillen |
