Subject: | Expanding Whistleblower Protections for All Pennsylvanians |
Whether it’s a government employee discovering wasteful spending or a worker uncovering dangerous working conditions, every Pennsylvania employee should be allowed to raise concerns about workplace conditions that violate the law without fear of retaliation. Unfortunately, this is not clear for private employees under current state law and employees who report their concerns can face retaliation or termination. My legislation will establish clear whistleblower protections for ALL Pennsylvania workers in both the public and private sectors, providing relief when employers violate the law or retaliate against whistleblowers. From warehouse workers to nurses, coal miners to teachers, and everyone in between, all Pennsylvanians deserve to feel safe at work. Please join me in supporting this legislation that would ensure that employees have adequate protections and can raise concerns about violations of the law at their workplace.
