Subject: $5 County Vehicle Fee for EMS
 
I will soon be introducing legislation to amend Act 89 of 2013 to allow counties to use the optional $5 vehicle fee to help fund EMS.  
 
Under Act 89 of 2013 counties can enact a $5 per vehicle fee and use the money for county owned roads and bridges.  This legislation would allow counties to continue to do that or they could use the money to help support EMS.  Some counties have never enacted the $5 fee and they would not be required to do so.  Counties would also be permitted to use some of the money for roads and bridges and the other part of it to support EMS.  

I would greatly appreciate your co-sponsorship of this legislation.
