Subject:	Designating October 19, 2023 as "Purple Thursday" in Pennsylvania

Domestic violence is a pervasive problem affecting individuals, families, and communities across our state. It is essential that we raise public awareness about this issue and its devastating impact on victims. "Purple Thursday" is a national campaign aimed at promoting awareness, prevention, and support for victims and survivors of domestic violence. By designating October 19, 2023, as "Purple Thursday," we can encourage Pennsylvanians to participate in educational events and campaigns, wear purple as a visible symbol of their commitment to ending domestic violence, and support organizations that provide assistance to those affected. We believe this resolution aligns with our shared values and commitment to addressing important social issues. We kindly request your support as a co-sponsor of this resolution.
