Subject: Captain Daniel Clement Memorial Highway
 
I soon plan to introduce legislation designating a portion of State Route 2025 in Morton and Rutledge Boroughs, Delaware County, as Captain Daniel Clement Memorial Highway.
 
Captain Daniel Clement was a beloved son, father, friend, and hero, who dedicated his life to protecting and serving others. He not only served his country valiantly as an Airman in the U.S. Airforce, but also served his community an emergency medical technician in Swarthmore and as a police officer at Temple University. However, one of his greatest honors was serving as an outstanding volunteer firefighter in the Morton-Rutledge Fire Company, his steadfast commitment to which earned him the post of Captain over the course of his career.
 
On September 3, 2021, Captain Clement unexpectedly passed away, at the age of 33. Please join me in recognizing one of Delaware County’s most treasured community heroes by sponsoring this legislation.
