Subject: Delivery for Special Order Wine and Spirits
 
Small businesses across the Commonwealth are slowly beginning to rebound after the economic slowdown resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.  However, new challenges have arisen, such as employee shortages and increasing operational costs.  As such, it is imperative that we look for ways to help our small businesses in Pennsylvanians continue to prosper.
 
In the near future, I will be introducing legislation that will restore the prior process where all special-order wine and spirits were routed and shipped through the state store system.  Utilizing this process will allow smaller businesses to avoid the extra labor hours and costs associated with sorting and shipping products across the state.  Ultimately, it will enable these smaller businesses to better compete with brokers, thereby providing broader availability of these special-order wine and spirits.
