Subject: COSPONSOR MEMO – State Laboratory COVID Test Reporting
 
Dear Colleagues –
 
The availability of COVID-19 testing in Pennsylvania remains an ongoing issue.  In addition to testing through pharmacies and medical providers, the Commonwealth processes COVID tests at the state laboratory in Exton, Chester County. 
 
Act 70 of 2020 established regular reporting on the status of COVID testing at the state laboratory.  The Department of Health issues a regular report outlining the number of tests processed, etc.  This reporting is scheduled to end on December 31, 2021. 
 
This initiative will extend this reporting for another year, ending December 31, 2022.  I would appreciate your support.
