Subject:	Rule 32 DGS Memo Transparency

Rule 32 of our House Operating Rules requires all land conveyance legislation to have a Department of General Services memo citing numerous aspects of the property conveyance.  These memos have been internal to the General Assembly, but recently we worked with the Legislative Data Processing Center to post these Department of General Services memos online with the legislation so members of the General Assembly and the public can view them. Our proposed House Rule change will simplify the posting process to ensure the Legislative Data Processing Center receives the memo from Department of General Services and posts the Department of General Services memo online with the bill. We hope you will join us in making the legislative process more transparent to the public by cosponsoring this House Rule change.
