Subject: | PA Women’s Health Protection Act |
Across our country, a woman’s constitutional right to abortion is under attack. Laws throughout the United States, including in Pennsylvania, exist for the purpose of restricting women’s bodily autonomy by mandating women jump through hoops with no basis in medical necessity before they have an abortion. In light of these attacks on constitutional rights, we are introducing legislation to ban Pennsylvania from imposing undue regulations on women’s reproductive healthcare. Onerous restrictions, such as requiring women undergo state mandated counseling prior to receiving healthcare they have already decided they want, will no longer be allowed in our state. We cannot be a state where all Pennsylvanians can thrive until all Pennsylvanians have access to their constitutional rights and bodily autonomy. The right to choose what one does with their body cannot be negotiable in Pennsylvania. Please join us in co-sponsoring this crucial legislation to ensure that Pennsylvania is a state where constitutional rights are respected. |
