Subject: Extending the sunset for programs under the Storage Tank Spill and Prevention Act (Act 32 of 1989)
 
Please join me as a co-sponsor of legislation to extend the sunset dates for the Underground Storage Tank Environmental Cleanup Program and the Underground Storage Tank Pollution Prevention Program, which were established in the Storage Tank Spill and Prevention Act (Act 32 of 1989).

These programs are critical to preventing and cleaning up spills from underground storage tanks in the Commonwealth. The statute authorizing both programs is set to sunset on June 30, 2022, and under my legislation, these programs would be continued until December 31, 2027.

I look forward to working with you on this important legislation.
